How to Find a Niche, Products and Research Keywords?

These are questions people often ask when they are attempting to promote products for the first time. These tips might be helpful for those, who are struggling to start their affiliate marketing journey but don't know where to start.

1. Find A Niche

What is niche?
Niche is a group of people who are interested in a particular topic. What i firstly did was I tried to find the product first, which was a big mistake.

Niche can be found everywhere. A simple way is from TV or magazine, let's say you want to find a niche in a magazine, You realize that most part of the magazine is advertisements, don't you? Take a note, jot them down.. Perfume, Car, Skin care, and so on. Starters are normally suggested to concentrate in the niche they have particular interest in for example you like car, then go with car.

2. Research your Niche

Do a research on your niche, is there money in it?
how many people are ready to put their credit card on table to buy? How? there are bunch of websites that enable you to do it. ebay hot stuffs, yahoo buzz, magazine.com, forum, or Google tools like Google trend.

3. Be more Specific

Let say you decide with Car as your niche, but as you can see car is too broad. Narrow it to sub-niche like car tire car tire is still too broad, go narrower to racing car tire, ok this might work but when you think it creatively...you might come up with for winter Racing Car Tire. Upon deciding, you might want to do research again to find if it is a hungry niche. Go to Forums for racing car, or you can go to Google Trends to check on that particular niche.

4. Find Product

Find the product you want to promote. There are several places you can find the products:

- Clickbank
- Commission junction
- Linkshare
- Paydotcom
- shareasale
- saleflurry

Or you can just search through Google by typing "industry name + affiliate program"

5. Keyword research

Go for long tail for your keyword, that is for sure. For example :

You are going with the niche money.
More specific is make money online
The long tail keyword will be "how to make money online" or "how to make money from home" To help you with that try overture keyword
